David is an approved consultant for EMDR Therapy and has authored several influential books, including "Anti-Racist Psychotherapy: Confronting Systemic Racism and Healing Racial Trauma" and "Black Meditation: Ten Practices for Self-Care, Mindfulness, and Self-Determination." His most recent publication, "Racial Trauma Recovery: Healing Our Past Using Rhythm and Processing Strategies," provides a fresh perspective on addressing racial trauma.
He is working on his fictional afro-futurist book called Black Mountain: Fight for The Future is set to come out this summer.
With his special areas of interest encompassing PTSD, racial trauma, social justice, minority stress, addictions, relational conflict, and eating disorders, David Archer is a passionate ally of LGBTQ, Black, Indigenous, and oppressed racial groups worldwide. He actively engages with corporations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions, delivering educational and entertaining workshops and presentations.
